The Story Behind Ark40
Devin Elder
Founder
My name is Devin Elder. I've been an entrepreneur my entire adult life — building companies, building systems, and learning hard lessons along the way.
I grew up on the south side of San Antonio. My father, Jack Elder, was a man who believed in doing things the right way, working hard, and staying rooted in what matters. Those values shaped everything about how I approach business and life.
For more than a decade, I built and ran companies that required serious operational infrastructure. I became the person who figured out how to make technology work for an organization — how to connect the right tools, automate the right processes, and build systems that scale without requiring a full IT department.
What I discovered, over and over again, was that the organizations doing the most meaningful work in their communities were often the least equipped to leverage technology. A nonprofit running a food pantry doesn't have a CTO. A local law firm doesn't have an in-house web developer. But they have real needs.
These are organizations that are too small to afford an enterprise solution and too important to be left behind. Ark40 exists to serve them.

I've made expensive mistakes and learned from them. I've also built systems that genuinely worked, that created real leverage, that freed up people and resources to do more of what mattered.
Ark40 is the distillation of all of that — the hard-won knowledge applied to the kind of work I find most meaningful: helping organizations that are doing something good in the world do it better.
I'm also a musician, a father of three, and a writer. I'm working on my second book, a memoir about building and losing a real estate company, the lessons embedded in that experience, and what it means to rebuild. I tell you that because I think it matters who you're working with. I'm not a faceless agency. I'm a person who has built things, broken things, and kept going — and I bring that full experience to every client relationship.
